Winter Dance 2025 "Northern Nights"

We ended Quarter 2 with a total banger! On Friday, December 19, the cafeteria was transformed into Northern Nights, a winter-themed glow dance that brought a touch of magic to our campus. Despite the warm weather outside, the gym was glowing with string lights, colorful streamers, and neon energy. Since the vibe was "island-winter casual," students showed up in shorts and light jackets, staying comfortable while keeping the dance floor packed. The event was "stuffed" with activities to keep the energy high all day long.... Northern Nights proved that you can celebrate winter anywhere, provided you have great music and an even better community. It was the perfect way to head into Winter Break with lasting memories and a little extra glow. Winter Spirit Week 2025

The students and staff at Highlands Intermediate School kicked off December with an exciting and festive Winter Spirit Week 2026! From cozy pajamas to glamorous winter formal attire, the week was filled with holiday cheer and school spirit. Monday: Cozy Christmas - The week started off warm and comfy with Cozy Christmas Day. Students and staff wore their favorite pajamas or flannel shirts, creating a cozy holiday atmosphere throughout the school. It was the perfect way to kick off the season of giving and togetherness. Tuesday: Ugly Christmas Sweater Day - Tuesday's highlight was Ugly Christmas Sweater Day! Students showed off their most colorful, hilarious, and creative ugly sweaters. The hallways were filled with laughter and holiday cheer as everyone embraced the fun tradition. Wednesday: White Christmas - On Wednesday, everyone dressed in white for White Christmas Day. The sea of white outfits created a beautiful winter scene, reminding us of the peaceful and snowy holiday season. Thursday: Christmas Character Day - Thursday was a day full of imagination and holiday magic! Students dressed up as their favorite Christmas characters, from Santa and elves to reindeer and Grinch. It was a delightful sight seeing everyone’s creative costumes. Friday: Winter Dance 2026 -The week wrapped up with the much-anticipated Winter Dance 2026! Students dressed to impress for the Winter Formal, dancing away and celebrating the season with friends. It was a perfect ending to a festive week. Thanks to everyone who participated and made Winter Spirit Week 2026 so special. We love seeing our students' holiday spirit shine bright! Student Council Christmas Bonding 2025

The holiday spirit was officially in full swing as the Highlands Intermediate Student Council gathered for a night of pure festive magic and winter cheer at our 2025 Christmas Bonding celebration! The room turned into a cozy holiday village as we kicked off the evening with our highly anticipated Secret Santa exchange, unwrapping thoughtful gifts, sharing laughs, and spreading plenty of merry cheer. To keep our energy high, we shared a massive holiday potluck packed with an incredible spread of delicious home-cooked dishes, favorite snacks, and festive treats brought in by everyone on the team. Next, the ultimate holiday engineering challenge began as we split up into different teams for an epic gingerbread house building competition. With classic holiday tunes playing in the background, frosting flew, gingerbread walls were stacked high, and creativity went completely through the roof as each group designed sweet architectural masterpieces packed with gumdrops, candy canes, and festive decorations. It was the perfect winter getaway to collaborate outside of our usual meetings, bond like a true holiday family, and strengthen our leadership team. Pearl City Christmas Parade 2025

The Pearl City Xmas Parade 2025 was a joyful event that brought the community together to celebrate the holiday season with excitement and cheer. As part of this annual tradition, various school clubs and organizations showcased their holiday spirit through lively marching, performances, and festive displays. This year, the parade began at Pearl City High School and continued along a route to the Pearl City Shopping Center. Highlands Intermediate School was proud to be part of the celebration, with our Student Council representing us with enthusiasm and discipline. Our students marched in strict formation, passed out candies to the crowd, and led cheers that filled the air with holiday joy. Their spirited participation helped spread warmth and happiness throughout the community. The Highlands group had an amazing time cheering, connecting with spectators, and soaking in the holiday spirit all around. The parade was not only a display of school pride but also a heartwarming reminder of the importance of community, friendship, and sharing joy during the holiday season.
