This year’s Highlands Talent Show 2019 was absolutely amazing! To kick it off, we had Auditions to see which performances were the very best to showcase at this year’s talent show. The Talent Show finalists were announced at the Auditions to the surprise, and some dismay, of students across campus! The Finalists were given 2 weeks to practice their act and fine tune it to get ready to perform in front of the entire school. To prepare event further, we had a dress rehearsal the day before so that everyone could run through their acts and get the feel of performing in front of a live audience. Then, the day of finally came and there could only be one winner. At the end, Kaycee won it all by impressing the judges and us the crowd with her amazing dancing! She will now represent Highlands Intermediate at the Brown Bags to Stardom! We can’t forget about 2nd and 3rd place winners who are...Taking 2nd place was Carly performing a song called “Body Surfing” on her ukelele which stood her out with her skills and now...Taking 3rd place is Teyha and Joharrah who performed a duet with singing and playing the ukelele which made crowd cheer for them even more! Well, that’s it for you Highlands Talent Showcase 2019 and hope that we have even more amazing talents next year! Brittany & Katelyn, Assembly Commitee

Q3 Intramural - Soccer 2019
Q3 Intramural Soccer was a blast! The excitement and tension of each game was amazing and the skill level of the soccer players were great! Everyday at lunch the Highlands Students Council helped setup, run and break down all the soccer action. Every team cheered on their soccer players and enjoyed watching their team play against the other. When it came down to the championship, 8th Grade Champs (Ho’oko) and 7th Grade Champs (Fantastic 4) had such an intense match! But in the end, Fantastic 4 prevailed and took the title of Q3 Intramural Soccer Champions 2019! Regardless, all the teams played so well and everyone that played made this activity so fun and enjoyable ;) Arisa, Athletics Committee
