Intramural Soccer 2025

Intramural Soccer is back and taught us to have fun in the sun and try our very best every pass and every goal! These days out in the field will always be remembered as exciting, cheerful and the best way to spend out lunch period... There was lots of cheering and challenges between each team while challenging each other for every possession! We can remember hearing “Go! Go! Goooooooo!” as someone was close to scoring a big time goal at the end of regulation ;) To sum it up, Intramural Soccer 2025 days were fun and made everyone support each other from the start to the very end of every game… especially when they went into overtime!!! The winner of Intramural Soccer 2025 was 8th Grade Champs Koa Kau Lio and 7th Grade champs Laulima! Congratulations to all who participated!

Intramural Soccer 2024

This year's Q3 Intramural Soccer was a score! With players stepping on the field and fans cheering all around, the energy was through the roof! The competition and motivation was there as teams fought to win for their teams. All players, coaches, and fans had a blast seeing this lunch event go on. But there can only be 1 winner which was… for the 8th Grade it was Team Laule'a and for the 7th Grade it was Team Alaka'i!!! Congrats to all players for participating. This soccer cup was definitely one for the record books !  Destany Sanders, StuCo Historian

Intramural Soccer 2022 Video

He shoots, and he scores! Get ready, because it’s time for the first intramural of the school year- the first one since COVID-19 hit! With excitement high and tensions even higher, Q3 Intramural: Soccer began on April 5th and ran that entire week! The activity took place during 7th and 8th grade lunch in the field, and boy, was it a hit! Students from across campus lined the fence, cheering loudly in support of their team- some even had signs! And let’s not forget our amazing players! With it being our first intramural of the year, the impressive skills of so many athletes finally got the chance to shine! The atmosphere the entire week was magnetic, and the gameplay was so intense you couldn’t blink! Still, in the end, only 2 teams could come out on top, one 7th and one 8th grade. So, congratulations to Team Alaka’i and Hui Mana’o for winning Q3 Intramural Soccer! May your names go down in history! Mia, Student Government Vice President

Q3 Intramural - Soccer 2019

Q3 Intramural Soccer was a blast! The excitement and tension of each game was amazing and the skill level of the soccer players were great! Everyday at lunch the Highlands Students Council helped setup, run and break down all the soccer action. Every team cheered on their soccer players and enjoyed watching their team play against the other. When it came down to the championship, 8th Grade Champs (Ho’oko) and 7th Grade Champs (Fantastic 4) had such an intense match!  But in the end, Fantastic 4 prevailed and took the title of Q3 Intramural Soccer Champions 2019! Regardless, all the teams played so well and everyone that played made this activity so fun and enjoyable ;) Arisa, Athletics Committee

Q3 Intramural: Soccer

Have you ever thought about playing soccer in school?! Well that’s exactly what we did here at Highlands for our second Q3 Intramural: Soccer Shootout! It was full of action and sweet moves. And don’t forget about those cleats and shin guards!  What a great way to represent your Team and earn some spirit point than some outdoor intramural fun… it’ll help get you more active and get you some more vitamin D too! All the teams played so great and the soccer skill level was so high…. Big shout-out to our School Soccer Champions -- Hui Ha’aheo!!!! Let’s look forward to two more intramurals in Q4 and have some FUN!!!  Timothy, Athletics Committee Chairperson
