Farewell Video 2026

Goodbye school year 2025-2026! The Farewell Video is an annual tradition to remember this past school year and all the great memories that were made. For 2 weeks we students and teachers from each team came down to the Student Council room during lunch to film their part and answer questions about this school year. Some questions they had to answer were what were their favorite activity and what was their favorite memory... We also had every committee and council from Student Council film a video and give a little message to everyone. We hope to be able to look back at this video someday and remember all the fun, amazing, and memorable times we had together this school year. The Farewell Video 2026 will be premiered at the Farewell Assembly 2025 on the last day of school.

Behind The Scenes… Farewell Video 2023

The 2022-23 school year has finally come to an end… What a year it was!?! This farewell video was shown at the Farewell Assembly 2023 so the entire school could relive all the memories, activities, and adventures of the most “fantastic” year ever! Featured were teachers, students, and staff from every team. Many meaningful messages were shared, goodbyes were said, and tears were shed. So let us bid a hui hou and aloha to all the teachers who will not be returning to Highlands and also to the 8th Graders (the Class of 2027) moving on to high school and beyond! Farewell Video 2017

“Lights, camera, action!” The end of the year is here and why not say your final goodbyes and your words of wisdom?!? The Farewell Video 2017 represented exactly that and the students and teachers of Highlands got to represent their teams and say their final goodbyes and celebrating such an amazing school year! Especially touching was having our own Ms. Zoller -- who is retiring this year -- and Mr. Armstrong give their final farewells to everyone!  Try not to tear up when you watch the Farewell Video 2017…  Lacey, StuCo Historian

Farewell Video 2016

Aloha, addio, and despedida all mean farewell in different languages. It's that time of year when school is ending and we must say our goodbyes. This year's farewell video was created by 8th Grade Council and it featured students and teachers from all teams and grade levels. In this video, participants stated their best memory and one thing they would miss. Tears were definitely shed as both teachers and students bid their good/byes to their fellow classmates after one of the best years ever….it’s a good thing we got it documented and was able to share this video with the whole school on the last day of the 15-16 sy.  Jaeda, 8th Grade VP

Highlands Ho'olaule'a 2015

Our final assembly of the 2014-2015 school year, was our annual Ho'olaule'a. This year there was a very large variety of performances. We had hula performances performed by Shayla and Shaylynn from the Highlands Talent Show along with a lovely hula danced by Hana, Crimson and Lien. Additionally we had our very own Polynesian Club perform a variety of songs. Not only that, we had our very own Tahitian Club and even Pearl City High School's Poly Club perform as well!  Even though all the performances were excellent, the biggest hit was the Tahitian pick-ups at the end! This is when Tahitian dancers from both HIS and PCHS randomly selected students from the audience to learn "how to dance Tahitian" by copying the movements of their legs and hips. What a funny scene that was :) and great way to end the last assembly of the year!  Peyten, Student Government Treasurer
