eSports Q4: Super Mario Party!

There’s no party quite like a Super Mario Party!  Several players from each Team competed with each other in the Student Council Room in order to become the School Super Mario Party Champion 2024! It was such a blast as up to 16 players played various Super Mario themed mini games to see who would win the most stars and become their Team’s Super Mario Champion!  It was so fun to see so many skilled players go at each other with such enthusiasm - win or lose - it was never boring, not even for a second ;)  Congratulations to our Q4 eSport  Super Mario Party Champion Takahiro Yoshinaga who won 250 spirit points for Team Koa Kau Lio + $50 GameStop Gift Card! Q4 Intramural: May Madness Basketball!

The Highlands May Madness IIntramural is the most competitive intramural we have ever had this year! This basketball intramural started on May 13 and ended on May 22nd ,just as strong as it started! The basketball court was packed with students showing their team pride through both competing and cheering! Ku I Ka Pono 7th and 8th became champions of their grade level and went head to head in the Intramural Basketball School Champions Game. Ku I Ka Pono 8th ultimately won and became the Q4 Intramural Basketball Champs 2019 for the very first time! To wrap up the final intramural of the year, Student Council hosted the annual Teacher vs. Student All-Star Game where the best basketball players from each team played against the teachers. The teachers were dominating the courts until the students made a comeback towards the end. Ultimately, the teachers won the game -- again ;) This intramural was truly a masterpiece and not surely be forgotten…. Eizekiel, Athletics Committee

Q4 Intramural: May Madness Basketball!

He sprints down the court toward the basket, steps back, he shoots….and he scores!!!! Highlands Intermediate had the most EPIC basketball tournament in the history of our school’s intramurals!  It was full of action: ankle-breaking cross-overs, fastbreaks, and some buzzer beater shots! Our skilled students showed off their talent and compared to Stephen Curry and Lebron James, they were pretty good. Like seriously, you try doing a pick and doing a three pointer with a fade away! It's pretty difficult. Big shoutout to our school champions for 8th grade…...Hui Manao!! And for 7th grade…...Na Koa!!! We plan to end the Q4 Basketball Intramurals with an amazing champion party!
