Highlands Leadership Workshop 2019
The Leadership Workshop 2019 was an amazing event that will help us make Highlands Intermediate School a better place! The Homeroom Representatives as well as new Student Council members joined together to work as a team to learn about Leadership and how to do our jobs. We started off with a few icebreakers to get to know each other better as well as make new friends. We were split up into two different groups and were assigned tasks that involved a lot of group effort and good communication. We were challenged to do many games that needed a lot of complex thinking and good cooperation with the group. We collaborated and discussed our ideas and respectfully accepted everyone’s ideas. Overall, we ended on a good note and it’s safe to say that everyone had fun making new friends, working as a team, and learning new things! What a great workshop and here’s to an epic 2019 - 2020 school year!!! Kamaile, Assembly Committee

Highlands Leadership Workshop 2018
Our Highlands Leadership Workshop was a successful and unforgettable learning experience that every homeroom representative and student council member gained from. Whether it was the presentations shared by Mrs. Colmenares and Mr. White or the icebreakers and challenges run by Teamworks Interactive, all the activities offered everyone a chance to break out of their shell and grow together as a whole. A huge thanks to Mrs. Colmenares, Mr. White, Teamworks Interactive, and our Student Council & Homeroom Representatives for their contribution in bettering Highlands Intermediate by teaching everyone that we all have a voice and how to help lead others in the right direction. This fun and eventful day has us excited for all the opportunities that lie ahead of us in the rest of the school year! - Lauren, SG President
