Fall Dance 2024 "Spongebob PartyPants!"

“Are you ready kids?” “Aye Aye Captain!!” Spongebob PartyPants was a major hit at the our first big dance of the year, Fall Dance 2024! To see all of the smiles on students' and teachers’ faces really did feel like we were partying it up underwater at Bikini Bottom! With engaging activities like Let’s Go Fishing and Spongebob Toss, Jellyfishing, and Krusty Krab Tattoos, students were able to have so much fun outside of the cafeteria by winning prizes just for participating! Speaking of the cafeteria, words could not describe how immaculate the vibes were as DJ JoJo Flow did his thing and everyone danced with their friends! We couldn’t think of a better way to end the first quarter of school this year! Valentine’s Dance 2024 “A Tale As Old As Time”

To commemorate the very special day of love and romance, the Highlands Intermediate Student Council decided to host the epic Valentine’s Dance 2024 “A Tale As Old As Time”, themed after the Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast.  Student Council prepared 11 different Beauty and the Beast themed activities from games to activities to concessions and even having a professional photo booth for the first time this year. Students could also vote for their favorite couple at school via tje Valentine’s Kings and Queens Voting Booth! At the end of the dance,  the winning couples from 8th grade, 7th grade, and Mixed (7th and 8th) were crowned and photos were taken of them with the entire dance as their witnesses!  Students made the most lovely memories and had the besttime at the Valentine’s Dance 2024 “A Tale As Old As Time”.  Rhylie Flathau, Student Government Treasurer

Fall Dance 2023 "Super Mario Party!"

 “Yahoo!” Highlands Intermediate Fall Dance 2023: “Super Mario Party!” was a major hit with all students, teachers and staff members!  It was so fun to see so many Nintendo characters roaming around participating in so many Nintendo-themed activities at the dance! The cafeteria was absolutely decked out with so many Mario-themed activities and decor that the plumbing brothers would be so proud hahahaha!  Aside from all the powered up activities, the dance was filled with many students dancing like superstars!  Dance circles and groups formed and everyone was showing off their dance skills and singing to the hits!  The music was poppin', the activities were boomin’, and the dance was so lively!!!  So many memories were made and we can’t thank the Dance Committee and the entire Student Council for putting this all together!  MC Molina, Spirit Committee

Fall Dance 2016 "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!"

Lets set the scene… It's the last day of the Q1 and everyone is buzzing! They aren't only excited about the fun things they have planned for the imminent Fall Break, but also one more thing -- the annual black light and glow Fall Dance 2016! On Friday -- October 7, students were invited to the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter!"  The cafeteria was transformed into Hogwarts on the inside, and Diagon Alley on the outside. Highlands students had a blast as they danced the day away, drank Butter Beer at the Leaky Cauldron, got arrested and sent to the Prison of Azkaban, and played Muggle Basketball, Quidditch Pong and Dementor Knock ‘Em Down!  Hope to see you all next quarter for our winter dance, themed Harry Potter "The Yule Ball!”  Ahnjeli, Dance Committee Co-Chair
