Christmas Teacher Appreciation Breakfast 2019

Dancing Christmas Trees and Christmas Carolers entertained the teachers as they were treated to breakfast on Friday 12/13/19 @ Cafeteria. As Christmas approached Student Council planned an activity to celebrate our awesome teachers & staff and show them how much we appreciate them. What better way to do it than with a Christmas breakfast hosted by our very own Pearl City Starbucks and iHop!!! At 7:20 am teachers lined up down the Cafeteria Lanai in order to get into Santa's Workshop... The tables were filled with pancakes, coffee, eggs, and all kinds of sweet treats. Ryder and Teya sang Christmas carols for all the teachers eating. We also had students dance on the stage wearing christmas outfits and mingling with our very special guests. Then, as a special surprise we had a surprise visit by none other than the big man himself - Santa Claus! This breakfast was so memorable and great way to thank all of our teachers & staff members for the amazing job at HIS: "The Most Magical School on Earth!" Merry Christmas, all... Happy Teacher Appreciation Week 2019

It's been a long year and before we celebrate the end of the year, let's celebrate the people that got us there -- our teachers and staff! These adults have kept up with our shenanigans and deserve to be appreciated so this amazing year through Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week 2019! We decided to thank them with a very special breakfast on Thursday, May 9 before the start of school.  The teachers lined up extra early for our Hawaiian Luau-themed event and were adorned them at the entrance with flower leis, sunglasses and hugs ;) After that, the surprises kept coming -- every teacher got a chance to win even more stuff at our giant Prize Drop to win some fun prizes before getting their breakfast. The breakfast provided consisted of pancakes, sausages, eggs, rice, donuts, fruits and chocolate-covered strawberries, most food given was from our awesome sponsors. Sponsors included, IHOP, Starbucks Coffee and Dipped by Dees! The teachers and staff also were also able to watch some amazing hula performances from students Jadee Silva, Teya Apana and Miss Keiki Hula 2018, Rachel Kimura! The breakfast came to an end as the bell rung for school to start, but the smiles on the teachers’ and staffs’ faces never faltered that entire day.  Thalia, SG Vice-President

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week 2018

Teacher Appreciation Week 2018 is upon us and what better way to kick off the week than with our annual Teacher Appreciation Breakfast?!?  HIS Student Council students enthusiastically served pancakes, portuguese sausage, fruit, coffee, and much, much more! We even several student acts dancing, singing, and playing musical instruments as our to entertain as our teachers ate and got to hang out ;)  Teachers really looked forward to eat a good breakfast and enjoy themselves as was evidenced by the long lines outside the Cafeteria before the start of the event! The 8th Grade Council planned the whole event and we’d like to give a HUGE shout-out to Pearl City IHOP and Waikele Starbucks for sponsoring this event with what they do best -- delicious pancakes and coffee!! The breakfast was a huge success as evidenced by these pictures and we just wanted to show our awesome teachers just how much we appreciate the things they do for us everyday!  Danni, 8th Grade VP

There was delicious pancakes from IHOP, fried rice from Big City Diner, and of course, coffee from Starbucks! Once again, it was a hit! Teachers were greeted with lei and given appreciation booklets created by their very own students. Thank you teachers and staff for all your hard work, we really appreciate it :) Kaitlynn, SG Vice-President
