Congratulations to Team Koa Kau Lio: Highlands Spirit Competition Champions 25-26

We want to thank every student, staff, teacher and administrator who came out to participate and/or support student activities throughout the school year! Whether it was Penguins, Shrek, Trolls, Kung Fu Panda, Monsters And Aliens, How To Train Your Dragon, or Turbo - you all were so great participating in all the amazing cartoon-themed activities this year! It is our hope that we all created memories to last a lifetime… Now, we can’t think of a better time to announce the Highlands Intermediate Spirit Cup Champions for this 2025 -2026 school year! The winner is the team that accumulated the most spirit points all year long! They did not relent! They stayed together as a team the whole year and competed in every event with maximum skill and enthusiasm. And that team is none other than...drumroll please..... Team Koa Kau Lio! Huge props to Team Koa Kau Lio for taking the Highlands Spirit Cup to their team until next school year! As a result, Team Koa Kau Lio are the Highlands Intermediate Spirit Competition Winners 26-27 sy!!! Intramural Champions Party 2018

GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!! That's right everyone! It's the Intramural Championship Party 2018 for all the teams who won the intramurals this school year!  They were invited to the StuCo Room at lunch and they were recognized, got a perpetual Intramural Championship Trophy with their team name, and a pizza party!!! The winning teams were treated to a buffet of pizzas and chips as well as other snacks, with capri sun as drinks and ice pops for dessert. Congratulations to teams Q1 Dodgeball Champions -- LAULEA, Q2 Intramural Volleyball Champions -- HUI HA’AHEO, Q3 Capture the Flag Champions -- HO'OKO, Q3 Soccer Champions  -- HUI HA’AHEO, and finally Q4 Intramural Basketball Champions -- HUI MANA’O! Double congratulations to team HUI HA’AHEO for winning not one, but two intramurals for this school year! Thank you everyone for coming down and turning in your pass as it was your ticket to getting in as well. We hope to bring you more fun and more intramurals next school year. Intramural Champions Party 2017

Pizza, Ice pops, Juice, and Chips! What does that sound like? Well yes, it does sound like a party, doesn’t it?!? But, not any party  -- it’s the Intramural Champions Party 2017! All students that participated in an intramural championship team were invited to a party celebrating their big accomplishment. Never done before, team Hui Mana’o won 3 out of the 4 \ intramurals -- an intramural hat trick -- and Fantastic 4 won the other. Each team leader received a perpetual trophy for their sport so their coaches can now have bragging rights for an entire year!. Hui Mana’o won an amazing 3 intramurals and now holds the Dodgeball, Kickball, and Basketball trophies, making all the other teams so very jealous. Fantastic 4 holds the soccer trophy hoping to gain more trophies in the new future. Every student had a blast at the celebration as they ate pizza and hung out celebrating their accomplishments. Little League World Series Champs!

Highlands' Very Own -- Little League World Series Champions!

Three of our very own are World Champions…that’s right, I said “World Champs!” To show our support and appreciation for the tremendous effort and achievement our three boys – Khade Paris, Matthew Yap, and Jedd Andrade – showed at the Little League World Series we organized our school's very first parade in history. Three newspaper and three television crews came out to document the parade and interview the Khade, Matt and Jedd about the whole LLWS experience and how it felt to be back at school with all their friends. This was a one of a kind opportunity and Highlands is surely proud of their fantastic achievement!
