Halloween Bash 2025

This year's Halloween Bash at Highlands Intermediate School was a frightfully fun event that students will never forget! The school was transformed into a spooky, exciting wonderland filled with thrilling activities, ghoulish games, and plenty of treats.  Slime Lab: Students had a blast at the Slime Lab, where they got to unleash their creativity by making their own slime. With colorful ingredients and lots of gooey fun, everyone left with their unique slime creations and big smiles. Halloween Bowling Bash: Strike! Students rolled their way through a spooky Halloween-themed bowling game. With decorations and themed pins, it was a perfect way to combine fun and friendly competition. Mummy Wrap: Team spirit was on display during the Mummy Wrap activity. Students teamed up to wrap their team leader, transforming them into a spooky mummy. The rivalry teams added an extra layer of fun and excitement! Monster Ring Toss: Who could toss a ring onto the most Halloween character cones? Students tested their aim and precision in this classic game with a spooky twist. Many claimed victory after successfully tossing their rings onto the monsters! The Witches' Nose: Last but not least, students participated in the hilarious Witches' Nose game! The Halloween Bash 2026 was a huge success, filled with spooky fun and lots of laughter. Happy Halloween, Highlands! What better way to celebrate the spookiest day of the year than by having a fun day for students and staff to dress up and participate in some frightful holiday activities all at the same time! This Halloween, there were several activities such as the Halloween Costume Contest and Haunted Highlands Photo Booth! We got to see so many amazing costumes and they were all super creative and spooky! Halloween 2022: Costume Contest

Who still dresses up for Halloween? Me! At Highlands Intermediate, you are NEVER too old to dress up. And in the spirit of this idea, Student Council threw a dazzling costume contest for the students of our school! Of course, teachers were welcome to participate as well! To make school more fun, leadership students, Spirit Club, and Student Government worked hard to make this activity come to life. For this Halloween costume contest, we had kids in dressed up costumes that blew even the biggest horror movie fanatic on the floor! During lunch, these hauntingly scary students lined up at a booth in the Library Courtyard and paraded about. Not only did the kids get to have fun but they were also able to showcase brilliant designs that are not normally possible with our school uniform policy. Spirit Week 2021: Pixar Day

What better way to start out Highlands Intermediates Spirit Week 2021 than with our very own Pixar day! On September 20th, Highlands Intermediate had people dress up like Doug from Up, cars from Cars, The Incredibles, we even had duos. Some people got very creative with making their costumes, some were DIY and some were store bought but it doesn't matter it was still amazing to see how everybody dressed up. A part of the fun was some people acted like the character they dressed up as. We even had a Pixar costume contest to see who had the best costume. We showed off our costumes and improvised pictures that would seal the deal. We had a winner of a duo who dressed up like Ellie and Doug from up. This was an amazing event, we had laughs, crys, embarrassing moments, and a whole lot of other emotions but even with all that we still had so much fun dressing up and making ourselves look silly. Halloween Costume Contest 2020

On October 30, 2020, the day before Halloween, the Spirit Committee hosted a Halloween Costume Contest for all those who signed up with their Team Leaders. For the first time ever, we did it virtually via Google Meet.  Each participant dressed up and entered the contest based on 1 of 3 categories: Creative, Video Games (our school theme this year), And Most Spookiest. We were amazed because everyone’s costume was SPECTACULAR!  All of them were amazing! In the end, Mr. White judged and then announced the winners for the Halloween Costume Contest 2020. Halloween Costume Contest 2018

The annual Highlands Costume Contest was a perfect compliment to our annual Halloween Dress Up! At the Cafeteria at Lunch on Wednesday 10/31/18, all 14 contestants wowed the judges with their impressive costumes. The event was an event to remember since there were so many participants and so many impressive costumes! It was very exciting to see not only the awesome costumes but also the school spirit as both the contestants and the crowd represented their teams! Congratulations to the following winners…
