PCHS Pep Rally 2018

Volleyball! Soccer! Football! Cheerleaders!  Nothing could be better than having a Pep Rally to showcase all the talent and opportunities that await all of the 8th Graders at Pearl City High School next school year!!! The end of the school year is coming to a close and our 8th Graders will finally be going to high school. With all the excitement comes confusion. Many student athletes may be lost as to where to go. To help our student athletes out, coaches and players from Pearl City High School came down to Highlands to give direction and insight. PCHS Homecoming Parade 2017

This year’s PCHS Homecoming Parade 2017 was a blast! People everywhere were cheering and screaming as our very own Highlands Student Council and HIS Cheerleaders participated to show support for Pearl City High School! The PCHS Marching Band led the way, followed by the PCHS Cheerleaders, and all the homecoming kings and queens, all waving and cheering the whole route. The Senior, Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman classes all walked from the high school all the way to Highlands Intermediate and ended up at Pacheco Park. In the end, there was so much happiness and excitement with so people taking pictures, hugging, and high-fiving -- we just knew the PCHS Football team was going to come away with a victory on Homecoming!!!  Brandie, Student Government Treasurer

Farewell Assembly 2017 "How Far We'll Go..."

We couldn’t think of a better to way to wrap up the amazing 2016 - 2017 school year than  with a Farewell Assembly! Held on May 26, 2017 this activity was filled of farewells to all the teachers leaving Highlands Intermediate: Mr. Armstrong leaving to Radford and Ms. Zoller retiring, and Ms. Tallman going to be a Vice-Principal at a new school... The Highlands Cheer Squad brought the spirit up with their awesome performance along with the Latin Dance Club. In addition, we congratulated the Highlands Robotics Team and Highlands Science Club for their outstanding awards in their most recent international competitions! Lastly, with much anticipation. The Highlands Spirit Cup winner was announced for the 1 team that had the most spirit, the most spirit points from the dozens and dozens of activities throughout the entire year -- that team ended up being….HUI MANA’O!!! As the school year comes to a close, the memories that were created here during this school year will ultimately last a lifetime…. This Farewell Assembly was a testament to that and we now close an epic, memorable chapter in our lives ;)  Amaia, 8th Grade Secretary

Farewell Assembly 2016 "I Lava-A You!"

To kick off the last day of such an amazing year, we wanted to celebrate through this year's Farewell Assembly.  This year's theme was "I Lava-a You!", a Pixar short that helped to display the meaning of today's events.  Throughout the event, we recognized all of the awesome clubs and individuals that won BIG and made us extremely proud :)  Along with that, we had a few amazing performances by the Highlands Cheer Squad, the awesome duet of Landon and Iris, and the winner of this year's Highlands Got Talent, Hyper 808!!!  We also awarded the Highlands Spirit Cup to team Fantastic Four for the sixth straight year in a row.  But with all of the fun and joy that this day brought, we also had to say aloha to seven teachers that will not be returning next year.  We would like to wish them luck in their future endeavors and say mahalo for their service to our amazing school.  Cade, SG President
